CombiPass

CombiPass generates highly secure 16-character passwords using a single 'master' password, combined with an app or website name. Passwords are re-generated each time the same combination of master password and app/site name are entered, so there's no need to remember or store multiple passwords. Neither generated passwords, nor any other data, are stored in CombiPass or submitted to any server.

Important:

Choose your master password carefully! Mind that this one password will give access to all the applications and websites you use it for (unless additional measures, such as 2FA, are used). When choosing a master password, keep (at least) the following in mind:

Don't share your master password with others. Use different master passwords for situations where shared access is desired.
Make sure your master password is not easy to guess. Avoid using a word from the dictionary, the name of your pet or child, etc.
Make sure your master password is unique. Attackers often use stolen databases of passwords from other websites or applications in attacks. Use a unique password to defend against such 'credential stuffing' attacks.
Mind that a good password is only a small part of your security - there are many ways in which attackers can gain access to your data. Keep your phone or computer free from viruses, keyloggers, etc. and do not use any software you do not trust.
Use additional security measures, such as 2 factor authentication (2FA) using a one-time password, when appropriate.
Remember your master password well! When lost, it is impossible to restore, as it is not stored anywhere.
Since the password is not stored, the combination of master password and app/site name works consistently on any installation or even on the web version. Re-installing this application or switching to a different device therefore does not require copying device data or logging in to any service.

CombiPass is a password generation app, which generates a password from a master password and application name, utilizing a secure cryptographic hashing algorithm (SHA256) to consistently generate semi-random 16 character passwords. Passwords are consistently re-generated each time the information is entered, and are never stored or submitted.

This software does not collect any personal data and does not use cookies. No external services of any kind are used. No information is stored, neither on your device nor elsewhere.
